Plenty of snow, open slopes and a snowpark ready to be shredded. While other skiing resorts are still desperately following the weather forecast, the first photo and video session of this season has already taken place at the Snowpark Schöneben last week. Accompanied by a media crew, a couple of park-addicts were showing off what’s possible at Schöneben this winter.

Whoever is looking for a versatile park in mid-December should definitely check out Schöneben. The first part of the park has currently 13 obstacles on offer and is ready for your laps. Park-designer Moritz Klammer and his crew have already equipped the park with 4 kickers, 2 tubes, 3 rails and 4 butter boxes.

On Sunday, 20th of December 2015, the time had come – this winter’s first photo and video session took its course. With perfect weather and a great atmosphere, three snowboarders and three freeskiers kicked off the battle for the obstacles at the snowpark. They were captured by photographer Patrick Steiner and filmer Raphael Pöham. “It was cool, great weather and a perfectly shaped park! The obstacles were in top condition as well,” Raphael sums up the session.

The freeskiers were well-represented that Sunday by Florian Ribis, Elias Pöham, Lorenz Pöham and Moritz Klammer. “The first tube in the park is the coolest obstacle, you can get really creative here,” Elias says. “When the final setup is finished I will definitely come back!” His freeski-buddy was also really statisfied: “I was really surprised. In terms of design, this is certainly the best park I’ve seen so far this year.”

But also the snowboarders Charlotte Freyburger, Daniela Kaindl und Christoph Geiger had nothing but positive things to say about the Snowpark Schöneben. Charlotte, “The location of the park is brilliant, there’s not much going on around it and occasionally you can also ride the slopes. All in all it’s a cool mix, from easy to advanced elements. If the kicker line is like I’ve known it for years, it should be one of the best.” Her bottom line: “It’s without a doubt one of my favorite parks and definitely worth a visit.”

With so much positive feedback, we’re looking forward to the next highlight of this winter at the Snowpark Schöneben – the Battle ROJal on the 16th January 2016. Until then, Moritz Klammer and his crew will be optimizing the park on a daily basis in order to provide the best possible condition.

Enough said now! Check out the gallery, enjoy the freeski or snowboard clip of the first session and get a glimpse of why our riders can’t stop raving about the park. For updates on this season and further events follow us on our website and the Facebook page.
