Last weekend was another busy one for the Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam space troopers, with four events in Europe hitting rails from 400m above sea level (Finland) up to 3100m in the beautiful resort of Cervinia, Italy.
After a long drive across the Alps and a thousand mountain passes it was good to be back in Cervinia at the Indian park, with the Matterhorn supervising the event. Even though the season is going to an end it is still chilly at this altitude and thanks to the last snowfall there was still some powder pockets available that haven’t been blown by the strong winds. Thanks to the good level of riding and the fresh snow windblasts, the judges were on it all day despite of an “official” party planned the evening before at the infamous Dragon pub....
